Privacy policy

Purpose of this policy

This privacy policy informs users of www.hydromag.fr, a company brochure website, about:

1. The personal data we collect
2. How the collected data is used
3. Who has access to the collected data
4. The rights of the site's users
5. The site's cookie policy

Applicable law

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), personal data must be:

1. processed lawfully, fairly and transparently in relation to the data subject (lawfulness, fairness and transparency);
2. collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner incompatible with those purposes (purpose limitation);
3. adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed (data minimisation);
4. accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date (accuracy);
5. kept in a form that permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed (storage limitation);
6. processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security of the personal data (integrity and confidentiality).

Consent

By using our site, users agree to the terms set out in this privacy policy.

Personal data we collect

We do not collect identity data through a form on the site. We only receive the messages you choose to send us by email or phone.

We measure the site's audience to see which pages are visited. This measurement is carried out with Umami, open-source software installed on the server that hosts the site: the statistics are not entrusted to any third-party analytics service. It does not set a cookie and does not keep IP addresses. The statistics are aggregated: page viewed, referring site, approximate location (country, region, city), language, device type, screen size, browser and operating system. To count visitors, Umami computes an anonymous identifier that is renewed every month: a visitor is not recognised from one month to the next, or from one site to another, and these statistics are not linked to an identity.

The server that hosts the site also records technical connection data, including IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse.

How the collected data is used

Audience statistics are used to understand how the site is visited. Technical connection data is used to deliver pages and keep the site secure. None of this data is used for advertising.

Who has access to the collected data

Aggregated audience statistics are viewed by the site's publisher, SASU ERG HYDRAULIQUE. Hetzner Online GmbH provides, on the publisher's behalf, the server on which this data and the technical connection data are stored.

Hetzner Online GmbH is established in Germany, and the server is located there: this data stays within the European Union.

Rights of the site's users

You may request access to data concerning you, its rectification or erasure, restriction of its processing, or object to that processing, under the GDPR. To exercise these rights, write to us at the contact details at the end of this policy. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

Cookie policy

A cookie is a small file stored on a user's device by a website.

The site stores the display language in a cookie named NEXT_LOCALE. This cookie contains only the language code, French or English, so the site can be shown again in that language: the one chosen in the language switcher, or, if none was chosen, the one indicated by the browser. It lasts for one year. It is strictly necessary for this display preference. It is not an advertising cookie and is not used for audience measurement. The law does not require consent before it is set.

The site sets no other cookie. You can configure your browser to warn you when a cookie is sent or to refuse it. Without NEXT_LOCALE, the site remains usable; the language is simply no longer remembered from one visit to the next.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated to remain compliant with the law and to reflect any change in how we collect data. We recommend that users check it regularly.
